    The U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission is a legislative branch commission created by the United States Congress in October 2000 with the legislative mandate to monitor, investigate, and submit to Congress an annual report on the national security implications of the bilateral trade and economic relationship between the United States and the People’s Republic of China, and to provide recommendations, where appropriate, to Congress for legislative and administrative action.

    The U.S.-China Economic and Security Review Commission is chartered to monitor, investigate, and report to Congress on the national security implications of the bilateral trade and economic relationship between the United States and the People’s Republic of China. The Commission meets its research mission by submitting to Congress an Annual Report, as well as by conducting staff-led reports, contracted research, and more.

Request for Proposals on China's Advanced Remote Sensing Technologies and Applications

The Commission invites submission of proposals to provide a concise, one-time unclassified report on China's Advanced Remote Sensing Technologies and Applications, which should:

  • Assess China's objectives and approach to advanced remote sensing technologies;
  • Assess the state of China's research and development (R&D) on advanced remote sensor technologies;
  • Assess the competitiveness of China's advanced remote sensors industry and case studies;
  • Identify and assess Chinese investments in U.S. advanced remote sensor companies; and
  • Examine China's use and development of advanced remote sensors for military purposes.

Proposals must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. (ET) on September 8, 2023.
